The worst thing that happened to UMD was Len Bias. Such a tragedy . Leave it to UMD to turn that around.. He is now a pop icon like Jim Morrison or Hendrix !! His name is in the rafters and they are proud of his blessed heart .

One thing I noticed was that UMD had a athletic budget crisis and weren't getting any funding from the ACC last year. During thatch year UMD teams went to 5 final fours and won a national championship. They must have unbelievably excellent people coaching and managing. That's more final fours than the ACC all put together last year.

Actually , not many homes for sale in CP. It's the next inside the beltway boom area with 10 large developments started or slated to start including the new purple line to Bethesda. It's the best , most profitable rental market already. |

| I am a UMd grad. Summa cum laude. Should be proud of it but I can't think of many uglier campuses in the US. The teachers I had, with few exceptions, were not inspiring. I went there because it was convenient. Am hoping my kids won't. |
