I have started making my own pickled beets. Just the lazy man's refrigerator pickles but they are sooo good. I eat them on sandwiches and burgers. |
| Bagged cabbage coleslaw mix. I add it to stir frys with meat and a sauce or fry it in a pan with sliced kielbasa. It cooks a little but still has a great crunch to it. |

You need to cook them before pickling. Cooking brings out the sweetness in beets, so yes! |
Aren't they kind of bitter? I never like frozen fruit as much as I would hope. |
