WhaHOOOOO! Scholarships for my whitey-mcwhiterton kids! |
|
Yea - we can apply for minority scholarships now!! But God help the first school that hosts Caucasian Family Weekend. . . |
Take a look at the composition of the non-white immigrants to the US and then look at the PISA scores of the countries they're coming from. Canada actually screens for talent when approving immigration requests; their immigrants actually perform better than the native Canadians. The black and Hispanic students in the US outperform their counterparts in other counties but radically underperform the white and especially asian students in the US. As this population grows the proportion of higher performing white and Asian students shrinks and out international standings drop. Not that hard to understand. |
No. I'm saying that based on every measurement device out there right now; MSA, IQ tests, SAT, ACT, NAEP, PISA etc, blacks and Hispanics as a group are less intelligent than whites and Asians. These disparities exist even when controlling for SES. Why this is, and whether this will continue into the future is an immensely contentious subject as you would suspect, but if you were to look right now then the answer is clear. Of course, using these same tests, whites are slightly less intelligent than east-Asians as well. |
What's appalling? That it might be true or that someone would say that that on a message board? IMO, with the way the field of genetics is progressing this will be settled science one way or another in the next 15 years or so. |
Wow! If you have such disdain for brown genes why even let them in your family? |
Well, one thing that's appalling is that somebody would think "Hispanic" is a race. Another thing that's appalling is that somebody thinks that race is a biological thing, rather than something humans made up. The biological non-existence of race has been settled science for decades. |

Absolutely not. They just test low and have never invented anything. |
| How does one actually identify a "Hispanic "? |
No, not really. Read this; it's a reasonable discussion about it: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/gnxp/2013/05/why-race-as-a-biological-construct-matters/ I'm aware that "Hispanic" isn't a race; can you please find someplace where I said that? Let's be honest though; Hispanics in the US are primarily Amerindian with some European background. Like I said though, this will probably be settled by science in the near future. I would be thrilled if genetic research finds no differences; it would make me a lot more sanguine about the long term prospects of the country with the current immigration patterns. |
This is another interesting article about self-identification matching genetic profiles: http://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2005/01/racial-groupings-match-genetic-profiles-stanford-study-finds.html One quote: "What makes the current study, published in the February issue of the American Journal of Human Genetics, more conclusive is its size. The study is by far the largest, consisting of 3,636 people who all identified themselves as either white, African-American, East Asian or Hispanic. Of these, only five individuals had DNA that matched an ethnic group different than the box they checked at the beginning of the study. That's an error rate of 0.14 percent." |
So much ignorance. I hope you are not home schooling. These are just a few of Black inventors that I am sure you are benefitting from their scientific inventions: Ernest Just Percy Julian Otis Boykin dr Charles Drew Dr Patricia Barth Garret Morgan Elijah McCoy George Washington Carver Janet Bashen Benjamin Banneker Granville Woods And the list goes on. |
