That said, you should download it & see if he has a profile set up.

If you want to know what it is, google it and you'll find out. No need to actually download the app. Hell just read the description in the App Store. You'll see it is a dating app. And why would a married (Or in a LTR) man/woman be curious about a dating app?

Nonsense. I'm a dude, very happily married, no intention/desire to cheat and - especially after I read about it on the internet - I want to check out Tinder. I want to see what the people on there look like, and what their profiles look like. I've heard that you will definitely see people you know, married and single. I'm curious.

I did not download and install it, precisely because I'm afraid it would be taken the wrong way and because I don't lock my phone, I let my wife (though she seldom does) pick up my phone and go through it whenever she wants. I'd download it to check it out if I knew I could completely and reliably delete the entire app, but I don't really trust that I can. I'm also afraid someone I know would see me and tell her.

But that doesn't mean I'm not curious...just not (completely) stupid.

If you were truly only curious, couldn't you just tell her?

I set up an Ashley Madison account out of curiosity, but didn't hide it from my spouse.

Did you actually tell your spouse that you set up this account, and what it is for, in case they didn't know? I ask because I've dealt with a spouse who would do things "out of curiosity," say they're not hiding it from me, but would actually just omit to tell me, much as they omitted to mention many objectionable things they did.

I'm the first quoted PP.

Nope, I can't imagine doing this...partly because my curiosity is prurient and I'm not altogether excited about the idea of telling my spouse I'm actually spending time on this kind of nosey-parker snoopy gawking. It's also one of those things, like gossip, that you're probably better off just being blissfully ignorant of. If I could be sure of getting away with it completely undetected? Yeah, I'd probably sneak a peek. I can admit that on this anonymous forum, but I wouldn't in real life.

You guys should both get on the Tinder App and compare notes, OP. It might prompt some interesting conversations....

I can't remember. I just asked him and he says he doesn't think I did. In any case, he was in the same room as me as I created the account, so I wasn't hiding anything. It was an account w a made up email and password and fake profile details, so I never logged in more than that one time.

I understand your concerns about your spouse who only claimed to do things out of curiosity once caught, though. I'm not like that and my spouse knows.

Install it on your phone ans start searching for men in his age range within 10 miles of where he is at the time. You'll probably find his profile.

This is what I would do.

Yea, but I think you have to establish a profile to even browse. Unless OP puts in a fake one, then her stuff is out there too. Now THAT would be funny...she is trying to bust him but people she knows end up seeing her profile on there. LOL!!
