Why would you NOT wear them, if only because you know that a significant percentage of hiring managers would consider such a thing? Would you really want your lack of hose to be a factor counted against you in this job market?
Go to Nordstrom and buy some high quality, extremely sheer hose. Yes, they are expensive. But if you get the right color for your skin tone, they will be completely sheer and will make your legs look so much better and will make you look put together. If you buy a pair of L'Eggs from CVS of course you're going to look like you just stepped out of the 80s. Hose have come a long way. |
+1. Kind of a no brainer. It's 2 hours of your life. |

I don't know what to think. DC is so behind the times in fashion that I think some women still wear suits and hose and it is fine.
Now in LA and NY hose are a no. You wear dress slacks and a blouse. No suits. |
What kind of blouse? I'm really curious what blouse would work in an interview. I don't even wear blouses under my suits. Just tanks or knits or things that don't need to be ironed. A blouse scares me much more than hose. |
+2 I'm 40 and gave up hose a long time ago, but for a job interview, it's better to be safe than sorry. And FWIW, it'd wear a pant suit too. |
