Some people actually do deserve that |
I'm sorry you have to deal with this ![]() |
Her show and advice literally saved my marriage. I am so much happier today as a result |
I used to hate-listen when it was on WMAL. Perhaps my favorite of her many asinine routines was an analogy she used repeatedly about acting too soon -- how if you drank a wine before it had aged enough, it would be rotten and ruin your meal. She really thought a young Bordeaux would kill you or make you vomit or something.
And this was during her Jewish phase, and so the answer to everything was "According to Jewish law ..." Well, guess what: I'm not Jewish. Now what's your advice? |
Yes, taken by a married guy she was having an affair with. |
My mom is a hoarder too and I haven't been in the house in over 20 years and none of the grand kids ever have. My mom doesn't live locally but I still see and talk to her, so yes, you would know if your parents died if you try to keep in touch with them. |
Me too. there are many things she says that I don't agree with, but I have to say that her marriage advice is hands down the best I've heard. |
Me too! I haven't listened to her in years (since she was on the radio, not XM) but after our second child, he was working such long hours, and I overheard her say, "You have to make your husband *want* to come home" and I thought, "Work is his oasis because home is so difficult." So, I totally stopped giving him the "second shift" when he showed up from work, and stopped the weekend Home Depot project run, all that. I made the house his oasis, a better oasis than his work. It totally changed the dynamic. We just celebrated our 20th Anniversary and at this point, I'm pretty confident we'll survive in a few years when the kids leave the nest. |
Maybe so - as long as you are a SAHM. If you are a WOHM, fuhgetaboutit. |
