I haven't listened to her in years (since she was on the radio, not XM) but after our second child, he was working such long hours, and I overheard her say, "You have to make your husband *want* to come home" and I thought, "Work is his oasis because home is so difficult." So, I totally stopped giving him the "second shift" when he showed up from work, and stopped the weekend Home Depot project run, all that. I made the house his oasis, a better oasis than his work. It totally changed the dynamic. We just celebrated our 20th Anniversary and at this point, I'm pretty confident we'll survive in a few years when the kids leave the nest.[/quote]
