Be honest - do you get Botox, and what is it like?

You can get filler under your eyes. I put it off for a while because it scared me but it turned out to be totally fine. It definitely made a difference. Next time I might even do a little more.

Where did you get this done? My eyes look like they are sinking into my head

49 but I'm with you. Don't need it.

I guarantee you dobut to give you credit maybe not to the over 70 crowd

sorry you're so jealous

Typical disillusioned frumpy washed up DC woman response.

not the PP you are responding to, but I'd say yours is the typical snarky DCUM response based on zero actual knowledge of the person you are addressing.

It may be hard for your tiny mind to grasp, but not using botox doesn't equate to frumpy. Many women in their 40s look fine and many women wouldn't do that to themselves even if judgy assholes like you thought they did.

My theory is that people are looking at static images of themselves in a mirror. Maybe if they videotaped themselves talking and trying to make expressions, they'd realize how strange they look?

you must be one of those 45 year olds who gets "carded all the time" because they "eat right, exercise, use sunscreen...". yeah right.

Nope. 50. I don't have a lot of wrinkles because I chose my parents well and stayed out of the sun when I was young. However, I freely admit that I look my age. And what's wrong with that?

For those of you who say you have botox with a "light touch" on your 11s, and no one can tell: when you make an expression, do you get crinkles on the side of you forehead above your eyebrows while the middle of your forehead stays perfectly smooth? Yeah, everyone can tell you have botox. (Think about it -- the reason people get "11s" is because that is where your forehead normally crinkles when you make an expression. When you use botox, that doesn't happen and it looks weird).

Nope, I can still make expressions with normal facial wrinkling; the wrinkles just don't appear as deep. When my face is at rest, it is smooth. I'm very happy with my minimal Botox. I've seen what you're talking about and don't consider that a "light touch" at all.

I did botox for the first time in my 11's too. My forehead moves and even the 11's move a bit. The wrinkles just aren't as deep. You would never know I had botox done. In fact, I wish the 11's moved less than they do. That is definitely a light touch. They are definitely smoother but not wrinkle free.
