Be honest - do you get Botox, and what is it like?

Do you regularly get Botox? What are the side effects (if any)? Does it hurt? Does it work?
Anonymous
Yes, on the forehead. It works very well for me.
The shots themselves are not terribly painful, I feel kinda weird the rest of the day, but am not in pain and function completely normally.
FWIW, I am not a sensitive type.

I get it every spring on my forehead. Takes care of those pesky wrinkles.

To the two previous PPs, can you share how old you are and how much it costs when you go?

I had it done last year. I am 44. I found that while it smoothed my forehead, it made my forehead muscles pull my eyelids in a weird way. It made them look very crepey. Not going to that again. I looked older.

Nope. Don't need it. I'm only 48.

43 and I get my 11 lines done. It makes a huge difference that no cream can come close. Cost is about 400, and it does not hurt at all. I think she does 3little pricks and it is over... 5 seconds tops.

I got a mini botox - i.e a quarter of what other people use for the forehead. It doesnt give me that frozen look. Im 42 and dont want to look 22, just good for my age which i do.

Dont intend doing it very often. maybe every couple of years.

I'm a rare breed in that at 44 I don't have any forehead wrinkles. I do have a small forehead and my 70 year old mom is the way. I think. Out of my expressions come from around my eyes.

My wrinkles are directly under my eyes--not even crows feet. There's nothing Botox will do for me. I don't even have the 11s.

I do - forehead and eyes. I go to someone who doesn't do the 'frozen' look and I've never lost expression. Like others have said, it's virtually painless. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long so I go about every 3 months. I didn't start until I was 48 and am now 51. I also do restalyne once a year - it's great for the area around the mouth and lasts a long time.

I do. I'm 35 and I love it. $800 for the forehead and laugh lines. I don't get frozen and can still move my eyebrows, forehead, etc.

can you post your drs if you're happy with it?

Going for fillers and botox, hopefully next week. Corners of mouth are droopy. Would do a corner lift as well if necessary - office procedure

I started at 40 and go every four to five months to have Botox in the elevens and forehead area. I'm 44 now and still look very natural with good movement. I leave the crow's feet alone because I didn't like the effect there after I had it treated one time (pushed wrinkles in weird places under my eyes).
