Posters who cross your mind every once in awhile

One of the first threads I read was about a young lady who was still in college or maybe her masters and couldn't decide what to do - she felt she wasn't financially ready and maybe the guy wanted nothing to do with her or was married (can't remember). There was a great deal of advice about what she could do and the thread was about 9 pages long with OP updating occasionally. Then the OP dropped off. I was so sucked into the story and often wonder what she decided.

Hi OP. That's me! (The lady with the mentally ill son.) It's so sweet that some of you think about me. We are hanging in there. DS is not currently suicidal but very depressed, and that is hard to watch. He hasn't been battling me too much to go to school lately, but when he is there, the minute someone looks at him the wrong way he goes back to his homeroom and sits in his cubicle for the rest of the day and does absolutely no schoolwork. I'm not sure how he's going to pass sixth grade if he keeps this up. He's so darn smart so it's really a shame.

The last time it snowed I convinced him to go sledding with me up at the local high school. Usually he loses his mind when he puts all of his snow gear on because of how it feels, but he held it together and we managed to go down the hill several times. That was a HUGE accomplishment for him. I look forward to taking him again this snowstorm. His docs say the more I can get him to do "normal" kid stuff, the better. So I keep trying but it often ends in disaster.

Oh, some of these are my personal favorites, too! There are quite a few I think about on a deeper, personal level, but man...I just loved poop lady who had to cut up her rock-solid poops with plastic knives. I can just see her hunched over the toilet, sawing back and forth.

I always wondered about the woman whose BF suddenly did want her DH to be around her kids.

Oh yes! She had 9 children at the time.
Was her DH in the military? She used to post quite a bit and then dropped off...hope she and her family are okay.

I wrote a lot of the "favorites" on that thread. It's hard to remember which ones now because it was last summer but one was the woman who said her daughter's name was "Madeline NOT Madeline." My favorite one I did was the woman who had 4 kids and I said her dad made her quit her job at Pizza Hut when she snuck out to a Def Leopard concert. And she thought she'd really made it because her house had stairs. LOL. I just had a good time in that thread, it was so fun for me.

That was my favorite! Did you name her Tracy? Lol.

I can't even remember! I basically had her as an 80s mall girl from Wisconsin and I said she married her high school boyfriend. Can't remember the kids' names but I said one was her least favorite. She came back and said she was an AA woman and almost nothing was accurate but she was a good sport about it.
