Well she better fix it. She needs to get a hold of great schools. |
| Are last year's SOL scores just now being reported by Great Schools? Clearly I check their site often, lol. |
I don't get it--ESOL kids can pull down an overall school score, but what does that have to do with your kid? |
agreed now will people wake up and do something about the illegals this is proof they are destroying our school systems. |
| Maybe they're just anticipating a drop in quality due to the budget shortage. |
Arlington dropped too |
| It must be a glitch. |
| LOL, I can just picture the McLean mommies pounding away at their keyboards.. |
|
Interesting observation.
In our pyramid, where all the schools ranged from a tiny handful of 8s to mostly 9s and a few 10s, the schools are today almost uniformly 7s. The only exception is one school with a 10. That school is a small PK-12th grade school for the most severe of special needs kids, and does not take SOLs. So I don't believe the SOLs have anything to do with this sudden, uniform change in ratings. |
| George Mason HS in Falls Church City is a 9. I love Falls church....but no way it's better than TJ!! |
| Maybe it is because they keep closing for no apparent reason. |
I won't let your facts get in the way of my truthiness! ESOL! Illegals! Anchor babies! Harumph, harumph, harumph!
|
Isn't TJ on record for having a large number of children taking remedial English classes, as though English is a second language for them. |
then you would get what you deserved. |
|
I just looked at the TJHS listing on Great Schools -- there is obviously a mistake in their data. Something is wrong. When you look at their pass rates on the SOLs by subject, it's 100% for every subject. But, when they show the test scores by grade, it only shows 7th grade and the pass rates look to be about 75% (based on the bar graph they are using).
Somebody mixed up the data transfer on this one. Do not worry. TJ is still a 10. Great Schools has a glitch on this one. |
