That might also explain her marriage to Bobby Brown. |
Of course there was. |
People with mental health issues are more likely to experiment because they are looking for something. They need something to "calm the madness" or "lift the depression" or a combination of the two. It often works but only in the short-term as addiction often follows. |
It is called 'self-medicating' |
Which is still a choice. |
Yes, because when you have a mental illness (which by definition means you mental ability is IMPAIRED) it is so easy to make good choices. I'm going to go up the next crazy homeless person and I see, get in their face and scream "MAKE A DIFFERENT CHOICE"! See how that works ! |
Ya think? |
+1 So much hate and judgment amongst DCUMers. |
You are way overdue for a karmic kick in the ass. Give it up already. The more you protest the more you sound like a jerk. |

I'm always torn when a celebrity dies of an overdose.
First and foremost, though I feel awful for those who actually knew and loved the person, and were a part of their lives. We cannot even pretend to know what goes on in their personal lives. At some point though they chose to take drugs. Or drink. So many of them have resources that other addicts will never have.. and don't use them. That bugs me. |
STOP already. We get it. Move on. |
Umm.. first post on this topic. I come from a family with alcoholics and drug addicts like many others. Personally I have a tough time deciding which side of the fence I'm on. Empathy because they must be struggling, or pissed off because there are ways to be healthier but not much effort if any is given. |
The 2 are not mutually exclusive |
|
So my take away is that people are pissed off when rich people have addiction problems, because money can solve all of your problems OK. RIGHT.
And that getting addicted is a choice OK. RIGHT. And I'm so perfect because I chose not to EVER try drugs or alcohol or caffeine or prescription drugs. OK. RIGHT. Some of you really need to get out more. |
Well, fine. Go do drugs and feel really good about yourself then. No one cares. I don't want to "get out more" if that entails snorting cocaine and shooting heroin. Sorry, maybe I'm just a prude but, despite it being offered many times, I've always found a way to say no. Money is certainly a very valuable resource in this arena, and if you think otherwise you're the one who needs to get out more. |
