| I went from 200 to 160 and I’m 5’8”. I was a 14-16/XL and now a solid 8/M. I’ve been as low as 150 but size 8 still felt better than 6 at that point even though I could “fit” in a 6. I’m happy where I am. |
Interesting. I think it depends on your body/curves. I’m 165 and just under 5’9”. My size 12 dresses are too tight even with spanx. I need to drop 5-10 pounds in order for my size 12 to fit well. I’m 45, and it’s tough to lose weight at my age (and after multiple c-sections that made my belly fluffy). I would need to be under 150 for size 10 to fit. Even when I was 140, size 8 was too small. Pre-kids, I was 128 and a size 4 or 6. |
Same-ish. I’m 5’8” and I have weighed 160 - 205. At 205, I’m a 14/16. Currently 180 and a size 12. At 165, I was comfortable as a size 10. I have never been smaller than a size 8, even when I starved myself down to 130 after a break-up. |
| I’m 5’3”. At 135lbs I was between a 4-6 depending on brand. My hips are narrow and chest 32C. Muscular build. It’s really depends on your workout and body type. |
| I lost 16-18 pounds and went down one pant size. I didn’t reduce much on top (didn’t change sizes), but my same tops looked better and less bulky on me because my arms and shoulders got thinner. |
I'm tall. Starting at 205 down to 165 went from a sz 14 to a large sz 10 / small sz 12. Chest size dropped to a 36DD from 38G |

Went from 138 to 127 in 2 months. I have not gone down any dress size but my clothes fit better and there is no muffin top. 5'2"
Most of the lumps and bumps have gone from my back and sides. |
This exactly. Including being sad to know. OP’s height matters here to know whether we are talking 3 or 4 sizes for her. |
| I have changed my diet and losing weight slowly I have loss 54 pounds and 46 to go. I am down to a size10 and finally got into a med. Plan to get to 120 but I am wondering what size I will be..I know in the 1980's I was a size 6 but sizes have changed. I am hoping there will clothes I can buy when I reach my goal. Lol, sounds ridiculous I know trying to get back to my 1980"s body. |
| I'm 5'6" and 180 to 140 would be about a 12 to a 6 on me. |
| Interesting that 10 lbs. is about the standard size difference for most. Same for me. And I agree with the poster upthread who said that bigger sizes usually require more weight loss to get down to the next size. I think 10 lbs. is true for sizes under 14 |

I am 5'4 and went from 160 to 115. I was a 12 and now wear anywhere between a 0 and 4 depending on brand and how extreme the vanity sizing is.
Bra size went from 36B to like 36AA or 34A. I'm rectangle shaped and my weight is distributed pretty evenly. |

| Doesn’t it just depend on your height, shape/curves (bust, hips), body type (muscular, big boned, etc)? Clearly everyone is different as you can see in this thread. I’m 5”5 and about 140 lbs and typically wear a size 6 but sometimes a 4 or an 8 depending on fit. hourglass shape with large bust but other than that overall slender body type. At my lowest weight (120, which I haven’t been in 10 years) I was a size 2. When pregnant I got up to 170 lbs and wore a 8-10. |
| I’m a different 5’9” woman: at 180 I wear a 12, at 140, a 6. I carry extra weight mostly in my hips and thighs. |
