If I lose 40 lbs, how many dress sizes will that be?

You can be beautiful in a big size, and you can be ugly in a small size.
Age is just a number. A beautiful older lady like Halle Berry is wonderful. An unattractive younger lady is less desirable.
Their age is meaningless.

Shut up! We are trying to fit into clothes idiot.

It also depends a ton on your shape. If you are totally proportionate or not, etc. I am an apple, it takes a LOT of weight loss for me to go down a size because of my mid section. I look a lot better at certain weights and look toned, etc but still have a boxy middle and larger bust/ shoulders. I gained a bunch of weight in my early 20s and took it all off and then some over a year or so. I really only went down 2 sizes with 35 lbs, but the pictures looks very very different than 2 sizes

I went from 135 to 125 and size 6 to size 2

I’m in the 10-15lbs per size club.

I’m 5’10 — when I was 150 I was a 8 — 160 a 10 and now sadly at 180 am a size 14 So I think 10 lbs per dress size.

At 140 lbs, I'm a size 6. At 150 lbs, I can fit into many size 6 but an 8 may fit me better. I'm 5'8". I've been 160 and think I was a size 10.

Good luck - you can do it!

I am practically the same. 5'4", went from 165 to 128 and from size 12 to 8. But as I prefer looser fit I still wear my size 10 jeans. I am a pear, and I do feel like it's so much harder for us pears to drop a size in jeans vs tops or dresses...

But I think the truth is that the hips are just the 'last bastion' of fat and I am determined to lose it. Definitely no lipo for me ))) Calorie counting plus gym, the good old way...

5'2 extreme pear shape. I really only gain and lose in my butt and legs (and face). 160 to (muscular) 130 was size 16-18 to size 6-8 on bottom. Top remains size 6 / 32B regardless of weight.

How tall are you? I'm 5'2", it takes 15 lbs for me to go down a size.

For example, I went from 200 - 160 and that meant 16 to 12. At 140, I was a 10-12

Sorry, but that kind of beauty is super-rare. And Halle Berry cares about her size as well.
