In another year or two Marshall, which people used to compare to W-L, will have higher SAT and SOL scores than Yorktown. It is already way above W-L.

It really is a stupid argument "best pyramid in arlington". When we bought, we Cared about many things: commute,independence for kid, schools, diversity withi. The schools(matters to us, I don't care what matters to you), budget. Then we chose the best mix for us.

Could I have bought I. Yorktown? McLean? Certainly. I didn't because the mix wasn't right for us.

Just get over yourselves. People who made slightly different choices than you did t ruin their kids. Most of the state sees no difference between fairfax and Arlington, anyway.

Nope. Check the current market. 2.85 million for a smaller house 10 tears old. $1.375 for a much, much older house.

A new build of same square footage is 2-3 million range as well. The one on Edgewood and the one in corner of Highland and Key.

These are also on MUCH smaller lots with less square footage. Location always trumps schools. All those city neighborhoods with shitty publics are worth more than CC Hills.

Agree. I think CC Hills poster is trying to justify her reasons for paying so much money for her house when her kid goes to the same school as yours. You just didn't pay as much, yet still get the same benefits.

Well considering Arlington County's #2 school pyramid is in Lyon Village I guess that holds true that it is the top in the County. But Yorktown (#1) vs WL (#2) is a big difference, WL #2 test scores and reviews show it to be about 40-45% lower.

The average price for 22207 (largely CC Hills) is $1,151,742.
