If you look at the test results Fairfax County Schools closer in like McLean, Langley and Marshall pyramids are much better. I would try to stick to the Yorktown pyramids to get the same level of exceptional quality as the above Fairfax County schools. You will also notice that Yorktown pyramids will command a higher price than the rest of Arlington.
Bullshit. Houses in Lyon Village, Maywood, Lyon Park, Ashotn Heights, Turnberry towers are more expensive than the outer reaches/Yorktown pyramid per lot size/house square footage. Both pyramids offer the same education. ASF/Taylor/Jamestown--Swanson middle/ W-L offers same education as YHS pyramids. Demographics are the only difference. If you want a better commute--live closer to DC. We are one block from Clarendon a Metro so don't have to drive and park near station. Alternatively, the drive a little earlier or later is 10 minutes to Georgetown's M st. In traffic 20-35 min.
This isn't actually true. The new build homes in CC Hills cost 2 and 3 million. Lyon Village is barely into the low 1s.
Nope. Check the current market. 2.85 million for a smaller house 10 tears old. $1.375 for a much, much older house. A new build of same square footage is 2-3 million range as well. The one on Edgewood and the one in corner of Highland and Key. These are also on MUCH smaller lots with less square footage. Location always trumps schools. All those city neighborhoods with shitty publics are worth more than CC Hills.
