lol +1

Funny how your god doesn't want to play a role in the lives of all those babies dying of malaria or young girls trafficked into the global sex trade before reaching puberty... I'd rather focus on the actual people here today, sounds like OP would too.

Oh, but He does!

Excuse me, I'm OP and it's really pissing me off that you're derailing my thread about a major emotional crisis in my life with your proselytizing. I'm about to break up with someone I'm deeply in love with, in part because of our different religious beliefs. Do you really think that sounds like I might be swayed? This is not the time or place. Get some manners.

We've discussed your major emotional life crisis ad nauseum, OP. We've told you to move on. How many more ways do you need to hear it?

Clearly, I received the advice I was looking for and the thread has run its course. Does that make it an appropriate venue for someone to swoop in and start spouting off about their personal, completely irrelevant, beliefs? Absolutely not. Neither the time nor place.

Is he a huge Christian who goes to Bible church all the time or is he more of a take it or leave it type? Maybe he will become less involved with church as he gets older. Maybe he will move towards atheism/agnosticism too. Or can you tell that he is a complete Bible thumper?

Is he as intelligent as you are? I think this is key. If he is not as educated and intelligent as you, you are a mismatch.

I think sticking with this guy no matter how much she loves him on the off chance that he will change his religious beliefs and become more like her is just terrible, terrible advice. What is more likely is that this would become a sour point in their relationship that would just get worse with time.

And OP, ignore the proselytizing poster. She is usually trolling the religion forum and she knows how annoying she is but I think she has some misguided hope that someone is going to convert thanks to her inane DCUM posts. We should really just feel sorry for her.

The OP asked that this thread be locked. I haven't read a single post in it and have no idea whether locking it is a good idea or not. But, it's easy enough to do. If someone has strong feelings otherwise, please feel free to make them known in the Website Feedback thread.
