Does anyone else feel like sitcoms today are not nearly as funny as in the past?

The Office was good, too.

I think Modern Family is hilarious and well-written. New Girl consistently makes me laugh. Big Bang Theory isn't as good as it used to be, but it's still worth watching. I thought the new "trophy wives" was decent last week.

I always hated "Everybody loves raymond" - felt the humor just didn't speak to me.

I'm still mourning the cancellations of "Don't trust the B in apartment 23" and "happy endings" because the writing was really fresh and the casts really gelled.

Thanks for reminding me. OMG, that show was so wrong, it was right. Dreama and Kristen were excellent in those roles.

Regular TV is crap,,crappy sitcoms and filled with stupid reality and dancing singing competitions.

+1. I haven't watched prime time TV in a long time. And on the ocassion that some must see TV sitcom is on when I walk by, I just stare and stare and stare, waiting for the punchline but sadly, it never comes.

Years later, reruns of Seinfeld is still way funnier than the crappy sitcoms on TV these days. Now Portlandia? THAT is a hilarious show.

Yes! Also Modern Family, How I Met your Mother, The League, and Blue Mountain State.

I can't stand tv these days. All the reality crap. I wish there were still some good wholesome shows I could watch between 8-9 with the kids. A Cosby type show would be great. Sadly I don't think those days are ever coming back.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Third Rock from the Sun. Am I the only one who loved it (and the awesome cast)?

I watch re-runs of Full House with the kids. They think the Olsen twins are just the cutest! (and I enjoy the flashback to some spectacular 80's fashions)

true.

And my daughter really wants to watch Dancing with the Stars for some of the Disney stars and athletes she knows. I honestly even think THAT is too racy. There is really NOTHING anymore.

Hence, why I only allow her to watch Disney and some of the old sitcoms on The Hub

My kids are 8 and 9, so maybe older than your kids, but we enjoy watching the Middle and The Neighbors.

Between this show and the Parent Trap movies (old and new), my kid is thoroughly confused about twins
