Bosch is europe's mediocre GE brand.
Hate the dishwashers that don't have heated dry and don't have a food grinder. |

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Capital Range. Gorgeous and sick performance - kills Wolf and others.
Hate my Kitchenaid dishwasher. I cheaped it and should have gotten the Miele. Cleaning quality is mediocre at best. |
Miehle sucks pretty badly compared to Kitchenaid, you lucked out. |

I have my GE Monogram appliances. We have had problems with the fridge, ovens and cooktop.
Love the Bosch dishwasher. Quiet and does its job well. |
| We had LG front loading washer and dryer. I seriously did not like them, nor do I like front loading machines. They came with out house. The motor just stopped working on the washer and we replaced them with a lower end kenmore set. It washes and dries a thousand times better than the LG. We did not get a higher end b/c we are moving, but I still plan on staying with Kenmore, but the higher end ones. It's the top loader that you can see through and it's amazing. We had one in our old house and I could wash my king size bedspread in it. |
Kenmore is merely a re-badged LG/other manuf. |
| Love my Fisher & Paykel Dish Drawers (dishwasher). I love that I can run two small loads independently. |

So many Bosch DW haters. I love ours! It is a newer model, with adjustable top rack, deep so it fits tall dishes in the bottom rack. It fits tons of dishes--so many that we had to order extra salad plates online b/c the kids use them and we never have enough clean ones and the DW is not full enough to run a cycle.
For those who say the Bosch doesn't dry, do you use a lot of plastic? Plastic doesn't heat up as much, so there is less evaporation of the water off of plastic. Also, try using a rinse agent. It should help water sheet and come off the dishes, making them drier. |
| Love both my lg front load washer and dryer. only 2 years old, and much better than the 10+ year old versions they replaced. also love my lg tv. I would buy any LG product now. |
Don't necessarily love our exact model (we have a temp unit until we really redo our kitchen), but LOVE the switch to induction. We had debated adding a gas line when we redo, but now I plan to stick with induction (though if I had the 5K to drop I would get one of the freedom ones where it doesn't matter where you put the pot on the burner.) We also have a new Bosch that I like because it is so quiet and does seem to clean well, though it replaced a terrible old dishwasher that came with the house so this may be somewhat relative. But i absolutely LOVE the integrated 3rd rack up top. Left the normal silverware racks in the bottom and generally use the top rack for large cooking utensils, measuring spoons, water bottle taps, all the other randomly sized small crap that seems to get dirty in my kitchen. |
was the switch to induction hard wrt the need for new pots? |
| AGA range - love it |
| I love my Thermador five-burner gas cooktop with two burners that have the ultra low feature and a big burner in the middle that boils a big pot of water in a couple of minutes. I'm neutral on my Bosch dishwasher. It's quiet and gets my dishes clean. The racks on the bottom work very well with my dishes including bowls. The upper racks could be better designed to hold glasses, but the wine glass feature is nice. I have a GE Profile double electric ovens. They are not really high end but they cook well and evenly and I have never had any problems with them. I've had GE ovens in the past as well and they have always been work horses. If you get a separate wall oven I don't think there is any point in going really high end. An oven just needs to heat decently and evenly. |
It has the worst rack design. There were A few threads dedicted to rack complains 3 years ago when we were remodling. I am surprised that they have not made new racks with all these complains. Otherwise it is quiet and cleans well. |
