My home builder switch from Viking to Wolf too. He said too many problems with the Vikings.

Our Viking wine cooler broke, parts of fridge falling apart, under counter fridge door falls off. Thank you Viking for charging more and providing less.

Ditto. I use plastic cups all the time because I can't fit many glasses in the top rack and what I can fit slides around and I'm afraid the glass will chip.

Love our Bosch dishwasher (but it seems like I'm the only one). I did hear about trouble with the style with hidden buttons, so we got the "lower-end" one with buttons on the front. It has a child-lock function, so we've never had an issue with kids interrupting or resetting the cycle. Fits everything great, cleans really well, and I love the eco and half-cycle settings, use them all the time. I wish I'd gotten rid of our old one sooner!

I love love love my Subzero fridge - except I hate the bottom freezer which I know is popular. The customer service at Subzero is stellar and they have been able to "repair" over the phone is a few minutes. I also love my Miele dishwasher. Hate my U-line wine fridge. Definitely not worth the money.

I have several friends who have complained about their Vikings, which is why we opted against one.

So so regarding my subzero fridge. The ice delivery chute is problematic. Love the Wolf 6 burner range. Don't like the Wolf drawer microwave. Miele dishwasher doesn't clean as well as it should given the price.

Not a traditional appliance, but I love our insinkerator water filter that does hot and cold from the same tap. Also happy with my Dacor six burner cooktop. Agree with others on Bosch dishwasher. I also went to KitchenAid. The older ones - 10 years or so ago - were good, but the quality of Bosch fell off thereafter.

Good purchase: sub zero fridge, wolf stove, viking ice maker
Bad purchase: u-line ice makers all OUTDOOR viking appliances expect ice maker

These are industrial ovens. They get extremely hot on the doors and sides. I am thankful my kids were not toddlers when we got ours.

- Thermador has held up fantastic after 9+ years. love it.
- meile awful - replaced in 2 years. uuugh waste of money.

understand from dealers that dishwashers now have a shorter lifespan.
