tell me about upscale appliances that you regret or would recommend

Just trying to figure out if the upscale stuff is a waste or not.

We've never gone upscale, but my MIL dislikes her built-in sub-zero fridge. Expensive to fix.

And I love mine.

Love my subzero and viking stove. Hate the bosch dishwasher - changed it out for a kitchen aid that i love.

LG front load top of the line washer and dryer - totally not worth $2000. Should have bought cheapies. Clothes come out smelling dirty and wrinkled, and I need a ladder if I want to use the steam option on the stacked dryer (have to pour water in it)

Love my Wolf gas cooktop.

On the other thread we got rid of our built in expensive fridge for a regular depth large 31 CU samsung. Saved money and it's much better.

Not a fan of our Bosch dishwasher.

I have a couple of very expensive LG appliances that died in a short time (1 year) - never again will I buy that brand. I also dislike my counter depth fridge because I cannot fit anything of size (pizza box, etc) in the freezer. I love cooking with my Viking range but I was cursing it when my kid got serious burns by touching the door.

The outside of the oven door when you were baking? Or was the door open?

I disagree. I love our LGs.

Love my lg profile dishwasher. It is soo quiet you have to bend over to hear if its on. In my little house, that is a huge bonus.

Love my sub zero fridge and my Wolf range.
Hate my u-line wine fridge and all of my Viking appliances have been complete pieces of junk!! Stay far away from
Viking.

I do not like our Bosch dishwasher. It cleans fine, but it doesn't fit our dishes well.
