I would not have been comfortable with this. We teach our son (7) that under his bathing suit is private, so I'm not sure what message it sends to allow him to be naked not just in front of friends but also in front of unrelated adults. I think it's a judgment call but I'm pretty sure we'd have just stayed and left his suit on.
