Driving with no shoes on. EWWWW!

Wrong u r. If I have heels on I take them off and drive barefoot. Much safer than doing so with heels.

Haha. Love that pretty much my feet in summer. I'm sitting in the passenger seat with my shoes off, op. whatcha gonna do bout it! Earlier I was driving with my shoes off. Sometimes I run from passenger to drivers seat barefoot at gas stations, when my husband and I switch drivers.

When I was younger, sometimes I would drive barefoot with one foot out the window! (My parents had automatic, but I drive stick).

Of course you don't have to drive in high heels. If I am wearing heels in the day, then I'll bring along a pair of flats (a pair of shoes that are safe to drive in). This is called preparation.

And then you take them off and gently place them in the Level 4 Bio-Detoxifier before stepping gingerly on the antibacterial film that covers the floor area between the shoe area and the living area.

Seriously. Does everyone not do this????!!!!!!! (OP, please check my punctuation -- enough exclamation marks?)

But doesn't the stick up your butt make it hard to drive?

I hope they are driving mocs. Those are the only suitable driving shoe. Perhaps you can get your friends DD a pair of driving mocs. I have some super soft ones that will caress her sensitive feet and save her from the hussy lifestyle.

I can't imagine living with this extreme fear if dirt. Visiting a farm would cause her a seizure.

Seriously, OP, I don't understand your problem. If you don't have anything else to be concerned about other than your friend lets her DD drive w/o shoes, you need to get out more.

It is dangerous. That's why it's complete BS.

It's fine til her foot slips and causes an accident (off the brake, or off the gas, or from one to other).

Terrible, terrible driving technique.

I don't really care about the dirt aspect at all, it's her possibility of killing herself or others that matters.

How is driving shoeless any different than driving with wet slippery (from rain) shoes.

This is the funniest thing I read in a long time. If driving without shoes is so dangerous, don't you think it would be illegal.

True. Not sure what it has to do with bare feet, though.

Op here. I will see her mother at work tomorrow perhaps let her know of the danger her child is presenting. She reads DCUM too so maybe she even has seen this.

While not like legal, it could lead to a reckless driving charge under certain circumstances:
