Do people also ride their bike without shoes or ride a motorcycle without shoes? Some people do ridiculous things. Driving requires full control, and footwear (i.e., "normal" footwear for driving, other than flimsy sandals or flip flips0 serves a purpose to protect one's feet, in case (hopefully not) there is an incident, and it involves the legs/feet.

Honestly, shes kinda chubby, but I guess in that "attractive" way, she wears no shoes in the car, and she dresses like Nancy Botwin from Weeds.
