Chubby, short mom needs help finding a few nice outfits for special event weekend - please help!

OP here with a quick update (crazy week!). DH and I went up to the reunion last weekend and had a great time! Getting my hair done, mani/pedi, some new clothes and shoes, etc. -- all of it really helped boost my ego. That, plus a glass of white wine here and there, really helped me relax and have a great time. I saw my ex and it wasn't horrible. His GF is really young and hot, but at least I wasn't super frump.

I'll try to post links to specific outfits when life calms down next week. I had the best success at Talbots (won't admit that to my MIL though!) and Nordstrom. White pants/capris didn't work AT ALL for me, but white jeans did - the thicker material helped. I stuck to black slacks & jeans. Dressed up the top when needed.

I am so glad it went well! I have a pair of white talbots jeans that I love love love. I just don't tell anyone where I bought them from.
