Kitten heels and low heels are much more matronly than on-trend flats. Sorry.

I've gotta agree.

Absolutely true.

Sorry, I have to disagree. I love my kitten heels. You can't tell me that these are matronly:

And if you do, well, I'd rather look matronly than like a hooker, which is the only thing I can think of when I see your 3.5" heels.

can anyone say 1993?

Only on DCUM can flats prompt a 4 page catfight.

I was going to post this same thing... I wish I could still wear heals.

So am I. I never could get comfortable enough in heels. Plus between commute and regular workday it's 10 hours in heels. My feet ache after that.

I'm 31. Ballet flats are adorable. At work, I wear heels of the kind the second PP posted - those are 100% appropriate for work and not even close to hooker heels. They are ao not hooker shoes that it makes me thing you're being purposefully obtuse. I've seen a few (very few) cute mitten heels, but the ones you posted are really ugly and look like old lady shoes. They would also make my legs look stubby. A ballet flat, or a wedge would look much better if you want something low.

Ha sorry about the typos

Wearing heels is like having anal sex. Others make it look so easy, men seem to like it, but when I try it, it's just painful.

If you dont have a medical issue and heels still hurt, try buying shoes made in italy. i could never wear heels for a long period of time until i bought kate spade and j crew heels that were made in italy. shocked at the difference.

Even SJP recently announced that she is giving up heels in favor of flats except for special occasions. Apparently all those years in high heels caused significant foot damage and she can no longer wear heels comfortably.

Sigh, but they look sooo good.
