It always makes me laugh when someone says that...I work with teenagers and I assure you that stirring the pot on DCUM is NOT their idea of a good time!

th eonly sides that are healthier thanthe fries are the fruit or a side salad without dressing. The carrot salad and coleslaw are worse than the fries.

Pick up premade dinner at a grocery store. Better and more filling.

Neither. Child has never eaten TB or Wendy's (he's 6). Maybe every 4 months he will eat fries from Mc's.

Pick up a roasted chicken (they are $4.99 at Costco/Sam's or if you want to splurge they are really tasty from Chicken Out); buy the sides if you want. Or, take it home, nuke some broccoli, and have a salad of mixed field greens/romaine from a container.

PP again, or go to Caltort and get salad; Ledo's pizza and make side salad.

Eh, get whatever you like. As long as you don't do it often, live a little and have what you want.

Not true, but if you like it, have at it. Frankly, I wouldn't eat their food for free.

Please don't feed your kids that crap.

I understand if Panera is too pricey. Go with a bowl of cereal instead with some fruit or baby carrots on the side. Just as cheap and not as horrible for you.

Whevever we cave for fast food, it is typically McDs, as my son will eat the apples slices, and nuggest - while not health food - at least they are protein. And at McDs, at least he runs around and plays (while I sit there trying really hard not to think about all the germs).

But if you are looking for fast, healthy take-out, our go-to place is Peruvian Chicken. I'm not sure it is super healthy, but its roasted chicken. We get a side of corn on the cob and black beans (which probalby have fat in them, because they taste so darn good). And we pair it with rice, salad and fruit at home. You can also eat there (if you need a place to eat while out on the run).

I find - when buying a whole chicken and two sides - and taking it home and supplementing, that is very affordable. We probably pay more at Mcdonalds.

Wendy's has chili that is pretty good. add a plain potato, top with small chili. fast and cheap. about 400 calories, 6 grams fat, 17 grams protein
