For all intensive purposes I agree with you. |
"Intensive purposes"! You sleigh me
|
Clever. Thanks for the giggle! |
Defanitely. |
| Good thing lawyers aren't worthless... |
| Everyone subsidizes lawyers by high litigation and insurance costs. |
|
I haven't read all the news on this, but the original report was that litigators were the target of the layoffs. PB's bread and butter is lobbying, isn't it? Would make sense to me to focus on the strength of your business model rather than tryiing to be all things to all people.
Replacing issue expertise is relatively easy, personal relationships not so much. I don't see PB imploding here. |
Everybody says this until their insurance company refuses to pay a benefit under a life insurance policy, or their food kid gets caught with pot, a bsd doctor kills their mom, their ex husband wants too much custody, or a drunk trucker kills two of their kids, or their business's supplier breaches their contract. It's apparently always the other persons attorney that's unreasonable. Let's move on. It's sad for those laid off. |
Wow! And people here want us to feel sorry for these people? Wow, wow, wow. In addition, 65 lost attorney jobs is not even noteworthy given the job market in the United States right now. Welcome to the rest of America, Patton Boggs.
|
All 65 were not attorneys. Some of the layoffs included admin staff. |
Yes, and as I said, Welcome to the rest of America. |
I guess that this less-than-snooty lawyer (but well paid) will stop contributing to the FA funds at DC's private school. I wouldn't want to subsidize someone like you. I guess with no FA, I guess you'll be squirming too. However, I won't enjoy watching. Enjoying watching people getting laid off is sick. |
Wow you are a butthole and I'm not pp. you understand that cultural expression? |
Actually, I think the correct expression is ASShole.

I always liked the earlier name "Patton, Boggs & Blow."
What a great name for a firm of lawyer-lobbyists! |
