Yes! Why IS this? My little guy made a face recently that made him look exactly like Churchill. He (my baby, not WC) looks much more like an old man than his sister, who was an unusually pretty newborn, did.

A few of my friends' newborns have been pretty ugly/strange looking. They're all normal looking kids now.

Elizabeth Taylor was supposedly an ugly baby covered in lots of hair, and look how she turned out!

+1. I thought everyone agreed with this. It's one of the best things about newborns!

I bet you this baby end up looking better when grown up than the "cute first baby." They outgrow this look by month or two, so why are you making such a big deal? Why is everything a big deal with younger people, or people under 30ish here?

You're not a bad person But it's a baby your baby you should love her no matter what, a lot of babies look old or weird they were just born, And if you cant bond with ur baby because of their looks then don't have any more kids, please. Yes, it is normal for babies to be wrinkly I mean they were in water for 9 months. Bonding wont be easy but you just have to love her for her,She will be cute as she gets older most babies do anyway.

Totally!!! Hilarious observation because it's so true.

Its the rule that newborns look like little old men. Most babies don’t get cute until like 6 months.

It’s been almost 10 years. OP, if you’re still around, is your kid still ugly?

I thought my first was gorgeous from the moment she came out with her eggplant head. After having my second (who was beautiful from day 1 (C section), I realized that my first was similar to why you are describing OP. She was super long and very skinny. Her face was wrinkly and her eyes and nose where huge.
She is 8.5 now. She is tallish, slender, with big brown eyes, big lips and slightly big nose. I think she will be beautiful…
I am sure your baby will become much cuter with time!
