Anyone get itchy red bumps/rash on belly after csection? Am worried!

Although strange b/c I've had three csections and this is the only time I've experienced this. I tried hydrocortizone cream and did benedryl last night, but no relief. Its not getting worse, but not getting better. I'm wondering if it might be something to do w/ hormonal sweating (at night) and having those hospital undies on top. It showed up 3 days post csection so I can't imagine it was the spinal block drugs. OB on call last night was less than helpful. Regular OB not in until Tuesday. I am scared it's an infection but my incision site looks perfect normal and actually the bumps aren't even really around that area -- more above it.

See an allergist! I had a rash, too and the ob and my primary dr were no help.

This sounds like an allergic reaction to BETADINE! They cover the entire belly with this yellow stuff before any surgery and a large percentage of the population is allergic to it. If it is above the incision, up to the top of your belly and around the sides, red, raised bumpy welts that itch and hurt like poison ivy on fire...that's Betadine allergy.
I tried cortizone cream, aloe vera gel but it just made the skin unable to breath and made it worse. I tried apple cider vinegar and that helped a tiny bit. then The nurses in the NICU where my baby was told me to put my own BREASTMILK on the rash and THE RASH WENT AWAY LITTERALLY OVERNIGHT!!!
if anyone else experiences this, rub your breastmilk on it and feel better!

I had this about 10days pp this past csection and I had to go into my OB to make sure it wasn’t a cellulitis skin infection, but it was fungus - actually candida overgrowth. From the antibiotics they give in surgery.

I know this sounds crazy but try coconut oil topically. It’s an anti fungal. It decreased the itchiness and the rash slowly resolved.

Make a mark w ink around the border to make sure it doesn’t grow rapidly like a cellulitis would
