PUPPPs can develop after delivery
I also had an allergic reaction to the adhesive - 100000% worse than the actual incision. Took weeks to heal. This was after having PUPPPs before delivery -- the 2nd worse part of pregnancy/delivery. Basically, red, itchy rashes SUCK! Hope you get some relief, OP. |
Same here! |
Staph infection |
Get on prednisone for a few days |
I suffered from PUPPS ... During and post pregnancy ... It lasted for around 2 and a half months.... I tried everything and this is what worked. Avil 25 mg both morning and night, several applications if Adril lotion (very safe, soothing lotion that can be used 7 to 8 times a day and gives an ice cool effect) it was the biggest help .... Along with momate-xl application at night fr a week ... Ice pack rubs.... Cold water washes, ample rest, no sweating and most importantly plz keep ur nails away.... Do not itch at ol!!! |

I did and it was awful. I wish I had gotten treatment earlier but I assumed I could not take anything because I was nursing. Mine was a betadine allergy (what they use to clean the area). Topical cortisone cleared it up. I was just very careful not to let the treated area come in contact with the baby. Good luck! |
I was also allergic to the mesh panties. Switched to cotton and used lots of hydrocortisone and it slowly cleared up. Not saying it isn't one of the other reasons given here, but if you're still wearing the mesh panties, try changing those to see if it helps at all. Good luck! |
Hi , I had my baby 5 months ago I had a emergency csection and I had been given a wpidur |
Huh. I had something similar, except it was also on my chest and arms too. It was awful, and it lasted for days. The doctor thought it was a drug allergy, but I never figured out to what. |
The same thing happened to me.....itchy n bumpy on my stomach and back. I think it's from the iodine that was used after my c section |
Yes, I got a horribly itchy rash shortly after delivering my son. It lasted roughly three to four weeks. At first I thought it was PUPPS however it mostly centered around my incision site. It was he's. I could've raked my skin off it itched so bad. I think it was for the csection glue they used. I would take cold ice packs and wrap them in a wash cloth and set them on my stomach to sleep. I didn't want to be drowsy from Benadryl & I've heard Benadryl can effect your milk supply. |
Visited dermatologist n was given nixiper lotion n Allegra tablet n d next day I was OK but those itchy days of mine was horrible too after c-secti on. |
I had the same thing right after my c section I took Benadryl and used a lot of hydra Cortizone cream. But the crazy thing is that is just came back after 5 months. Now I’m not sure what it is from because why in the world would it come back after 5 months is this normal? |
I had a severe rash, too. Mine was everywhere they put betadine. I went to the allergist 1 week pp and they prescribed topical steroid cream. |
