wrong they didn't "lose" the contract they refused to sign another one, because Netflix is just out to make everyone hate them. They see people watching the popular items
then turn all Nazi and say lets get rid of those popular items!

unless netflix renews a contract with a popular network bringing back multiple favorites i am considering leaving the people who make my tv life filled with crap.

first they take spartacus, then stargate, now south park, avatar, even freaking spongebob soon to rip...futurama... netflix is against the people!

NP here. But the choices are terrible. How are the prime choices? Should I switch?

we tried it for a month and there were no good movies. Any even remotely current movie was through DVD only. It is fine for some TV, but that was it. We cancelled after the month trial.

I already cancelled netflix. This morning I logged into Amazon for something else and there was a big announcement that Amazon signed an agreement with Viacom.

From the amazon announcement:

Prime members now have unlimited instant streaming access to the largest subscription library for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. content online. We have increased by 55% the number of episodes available to top Prime shows for kids like SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Blue’s Clues, iCarly and more of your Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. favorites, plus added 400 episodes of new shows such as Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies, VICTORiOUS, Big Time Rush, and Drake & Josh.

Now...how do I get Amazon Prime on my Apple TV????

I think netflix sucks because it doesn't have every movie on there.

TvShouldBeFree.com

Its simple free and no monthly fee! and they have every show you can possibly imagine.

Apple TV's video rental has been hitting the spot for us. $5 for a 24 hour rental. Have up Netflix mail service this year because we just weren't getting the discs we wanted.

I have had netflix for years, and yes i do use other services. If it weren't the documentaries i would cancel it outright. My wife likes to watch the TV shows that they do have on but thats it. Since we Stream threw the Xbox there are other options that we use, Vudu from Walmart rental is our favorite 3.99 To start a new release rental not too shabby and if i want to watch a current show Online i Use project Free TV and hook my laptop to my TV and watch that. In all since Starz left Netflix it has pretty much been crap, the TV programs they do have on are really the only thing that has kept them alive, and when they did have kids shows like some of you have mentioned.

I stream from my phone or iPad into my tv.

Not to mention the hordes of customers they lost due to throttling, lousy streaming options when there are better options elsewhere, splitting their DVD-by-mail service from their streaming service, etc. Might be affecting their ability to function the way they used to.

Amazon prime streaming is not much better, btw. And Netflix does have the advantage of the Wii connection that amazon hasn't added yet. (Anyone in the know here? Are they ever going to offer a Wii interface?)

+10000

Sadly, I've had to resort to "unconventional" ways to get movies I want to see.

Do tell!

The library is working great for me, but I haven't watched moved in years so I don't need the newest releases.

I don't have cable and don't keep up with current TV shows. Therefore, Netflix suits my needs just fine and I can usually find something to watch. Occasionally, I see people on facebook taking about some series and can't find it on Netflix (or Amazon Prime for that matter). I still think Netflix is worth the $8/month though.
