| I used to think that Black Friday was exciting, but I kind of just dread it now. I haven't found too many deal advertised in stores that wouldn't end up online, as well. The hype, the hysteria.....I can't handle it. So, my answer is NO! |
| hell no. and i will not be shopping on black friday. |
Yeah, and as a former restaurant manager I can tell you, IT SUCKS. I had to practically force my employees to work holidays - 99% of them want it off so they can hang out with their families and relax. I know previous posters said that they enjoyed the holiday pay, but I suspect that is the exception, or a reflection of the desperation a lot of retail employees feel (what are they getting paid $9 an hour - who can live on that?). My employees wanted off and it was hard on them to have to work when it seemed like almost everyone else was enjoying the day. |
| Nope. I love Thanksgiving. It is a day when all my family are together, it's not religious and there is no present-pressure so less of a consumer-driven holiday. Until now.... Oh well... |
| No! That is just wrong! I have been living here for the past 8 years only and my husband is first generation American, so we don't really observe/celebrate Thanksgiving. It is not an important holiday for us, however, I realize the meaning of the holiday and I think that opening the stores on this day takes away of it. I love a good deal like everyone else, but I refuse to support this trend. |
| Yeah. I'm stopping in on my way home from work....since no holiday for me, why not? I've worked most holidays for the past 30 years. |

Hell to the no.
I think it is horrid that they are making their people work on thanksgiving. They should be with friends and family. The shopping madness can wait a day. |
