I guess you love whom you love... but as a woman who is 6 feet tall, short women with really tall men always really annoyed me before I married. Seriously, you have the entire population that is taller than you and you have to pick the few people who are taller than me?
I secretly think some of these women have been treated as cute their whole lives and have some sort of weird complex where they have to feel like a little kid. I have definitely notice that very short women have personalities that are... well, like little kids who need to be taken care of. I know that's not nic and iwouldn't say it in real life because it'ssuper unPC, but I definietly think it. |

I'm 4'11" and my husband is 5'10", so he is pretty average. I usually wear a size 4 or 2, sometimes even a 0 depending on where I am shopping, but I weigh 124. I am muscular and I have a large frame for my short size. My inseam is 27" and my shoe size is 5. I have to hem everything. I find the biggest PITA to be my shoe size. Clothes can be altered, many shoe manufacturers do not even make a size 5.
Please do not tell me,"Oh but you can get all those great shoes on sale, it's always the small ones." It isn't true. If I were a size 6, then you would be right 5 not so much. |
What's your definition of really short? You're short at 5 3 so I'd say 5, which is less common, is pretty short. |
| My MIL is 4'11 and my FIL was a large-framed 6'2. She wears a size 5 shoe and when DH was growing up, the shoe selection in their area was very limited so when she found 5s, she'd buy several pairs. Oddly enough, she has a 6'1 twin brother and her older broker is also over 6'. My husband is 6'1 as well and I'm 5'3, which I consider short but not that short. We honeymooned in Malta where all the people, especially the older folks, are tiny. I seriously felt like a giant next to them. |
| Well, get the complete list famous people with dwarfism on http://www.ranker.com/list/famous-people-with-dwarfism/celebrity-insider which includes all famous actors and actresses, authors, musicians and politicians and is a round up of all famous people who are dwarfs. Haha, this may be somewhat true, I'm only 5'1" and people have always, always treated me like a little sister. In high school, college, even at most of my jobs (and I have a very serious career, especially the men, they either treat me like a little sis or a daughter, eek!) which is all very odd because I have always been very mature for my age. My friends always ask why I dress up so much for work, I wear full suits daily even though I guess I don't need to, but I feel like it helps me to be taken seriously. Plus I look a little younger than I really am so it has always been a challenge to be taken seriously. I also have to get everything hemmed, otherwise it looks like I'm playing dress up with my moms work clothes. |
Totally agree with this. I'm 5'0 and look young for my age; at 36, most people mistake me for mid 20's. It's great socially, but professionally it sucks. Always in suits, etc., at work to counteract this. Such a pain to get them hemmed and tailored. Recently chopped my longer hair to a layered bob too to try to look a little more mature. Funny enough, I have a twin brother who is 5'11. I was taller than him until I hit puberty at age 12; then I pretty much stopped growing. |

What's with all the tall dudes with super-short women? Is it some type of fetish?
|
| Look at figure skating pairs - gorilla/flea combos are very common there! |
Geez, get a room, you two. Or I guess you could just get a capsule. |

My MIL is 5 feet tall and FIL is 6-4. They're divorced now, and her second husband is about 5-5. We have a terrific picture of the two of them swinging together on a porch swing, and both of their feet are hanging from the ground.
My SIL is 4-11 and her husband is easily 6 feet--so cute! |
| 12:43 - ITA. SIL and MIL are like this. They act kind of helpless. Well, maybe its not an act. Weird. |
