+1 I totally know this feeling. I still feel like pretty much the same person, but every once in a while I see photo of myself and realize that I look more like my mom than what I think of as "me." (I am 39.) Every once in a while, I will see or write the year "2012" and feel like it is some futuristic dream from which I will soon wake. |

I agree 100%!!
I heard on the radio today that Cal Ripkin broke the streak 17 years ago. That seems like yesterday. I feel old too. |
| YES! I totally do this but I'm only 32. |
What?!? No way. That really makes me feel old. Pearl Jam was the defining band of my high school years. *sigh* I guess I really am getting old. |
| I am a teacher and 34 yo. When I tell my HS students that I didn't have the Internet when I was in high school they look at me like I have lobsters crawling out of my ears. |
| Yes!!! I am 40. |
| Yes, I do this all the time! The early 90s don't seem so long ago. I'm 50, which honestly I hate saying but don't mind being. I never feel old. I know my parents - in their 70s - don't feel old either. I'm convinced that unless you're totally immobile or being spoon-fed you don't ever 'feel' old! |
I'm 36 and some of my high school classmates are having their first grandkids too. |
I started college 35 years ago in August. As my college roommate and I say to each other every year, "Elvis died and we went to college!" Yeah, that makes me older than most of you - and i'll increase the number by one tomorrow - but I don't stress about it. I had my fun in each decade, and getting older is certainly better than the alternative. Plus, I have a young child, so I'm surrounded by youth, which I enjoy, but it doesn't particularly make me want to go back. I like moving forward. |
No. It is simple to subtract 10 from 2012 and come up with 2002. |
| I remember Stella Neptune at Chief Ike's Mambo Room BEFORE the Clintonistas moved to DC! Yikes! |
