This is because the vast majority of white children in dcps are from high socio economic status (SES) families, there just are not many low SES white children taking the NAEP test in DC so the test scores skew higher in DC (for the subcategory of white children) than in states that have more SES diversity among white test takers.

OP here, First of, I want to thank all the people that wrote offering good advice. Also, thanks for the spelling correction on the school. I am constantly surprised at how bitter the posters on this website are. Here I am t
otally concerned about my precious snowflake and wanting to hear good things about the school to reassure myself that my child will have a great productive school year. I am not surprised at the number of advanced children in the district. Look at the parents, we are all educated and in our case both professionals. We have the means to provide our child with many extra activities with an emphasis on learning. How many educated parents want to stick their child in front of the tv for hours on end, provide no learning environment, no books nothing. For you posters who are so quick to mock others, stop and think, if what you are writing is worth reading!
