Get a job at the PTO. You can work at home 100% (flex schedule) and make 145-150k/year when u get to GS14/15 level. I think the highest u can come in is a 12--- but promotions are guaranteed each year if you meet production quota. You need a science degree (not social science--physical science), e.g., engineering, chem, biochem, physics, microbiol., etc. It sounds like you have that.

Not all non-profits are charitable organizations. Some are large trade associations representing hundreds of thousands of members with a focus on lobbying, policy, and retirement/benefit plan administration. I work for one and executive level salaries are into the $200,000 range.

You're doing a good job of profiting, there.

No, just a Stanford drop out. Got lucky and got a job at 21 in Silicone Valley with a little known company called Cisco. Made no financial sense to finish school. The stock options I got alone set me up with a home and finacial security people double my age at the time could only dream of.
