If you work a 40 hour week...

I'm curious what salaries look like for people who work 40 hour weeks, especially if its in fields that don't require advanced degrees or certification.
I'm work in non profit management, administration and development and my salary is just under $225k. However, the constant being online until midnight, never seeing my kids, waking up in a cold sweat at night because of work, is really wearing on my family. I'm looking for a role that is hopefully closer to a 9-5 job or at least has slightly better hours.
Before people flame away, I've stayed in roles like this as long as I have because we have family we help support or anticipate will need help later and we wanted to build up savings while we could as long as we could stand it
So my questions:
1. do jobs like this actually exist? I've been working insane hours for so long its hard for me to believe everyone isn't tied to their blackberry all night and always on call
2. how much can I expect to make in a role with scaled back hours like that? I assume its at least cutting my salary in half if I were to start doing development for a smaller non profit, which is fine.

I make a little less than OP, work 40 hours. Sometimes its boring, but other than that, a great set up.

Government - analyst position. I do have a busy season for about two months where I work about 50-60 hours a week, but I can do the extra hours at home. Otherwise it's 9-5 with lots of leave. $100,000.

Can people share what kind of job they have?

Depends on length of experience. I don't know anyone in the nonprofit world that makes that kind of money, fwiw. You could check guidestar.

This non-profit scam needs to stop, seriously 225k? Thats highway robbery. If your donors knew that they would pull the plug on you ASAP.

I make just over $150k and work no more than 40 hours a week from home full-time. Love my job. I work in finance.

I work a 40 hour work week -- sometimes a bit more and sometimes less when things are slow. I'm a psychologist working for a college. Salary is 65k, which is meh. Benefits are pretty good though, including college tuition assistance for dependents.

My 40 hour week takes only 85 hours. I don't work at home and make way less than $145k.
