Rasika Central Blue Duck Tavern Tabard Inn (Winter is nice with fireplace and cozy feel) Inn at Little Washington if you can make it out there/a splurge but well worth it. Lauriol Plaza has become such a DC institution - cranks it out like no other, and I think they have great tex-mex for a reasonable price. Fun and vibrant atmosphere. Delicious swirl margaritas. (Just go on a week night- weekends are insane). |

| Four of us recently went to Komi - $1k later, we left very disappointed and still hungry. Some of the ideas are obviously creative, but the courses did not flow and much of it lacked taste. I'm glad we tried it, but wouldn't go back. |

I absolutely LOVED Taberna Del Alabardero many years ago and have not been in ages. So glad to hear it's still good! I think I may have to plan a date night there soon! |

The chef has Greek ancestry, so nominally the first half of dinner is mezze and then the main course is often roasted goat, but unfortunately describing it that way doesn't give you the faintest sense of the restaurant. If you like interesting food and great flavors and don't mind the expense I would get these for your next special occasion. |
