your top 10 restaurants to visit in this area

Matchbox. There are 3 (I think, maybe 2?) anyway, the first one is in Chinatown, and, yes, there is a new one on Rockville pike. the mini burgers and pizza are what they are known for. I personally love those little burgers with the skinny fried onions they come with! It gets very crowded, so be forewarned.

You're obviously not their intended customer if you only like crap food.

Wow, I am not a fan of really pricey places, but there are plenty of moderate places in the DC area other than chain restaurants!

I love Thai Peppers in Alexandria and Capitol Hill Tandoor and Grill on 8th Street.

Probably because I'm a pretty good cook, I prefer to eat at home than to eat out at hyped-up restaurants that charge several times what it would costs for me to make the same dish. I guess it's true I am not their intended customer: someone who does not know the value of a dollar.

You're serious? You think someone about to leave the area should make sure to visit IHOP? I doubt it. Clearly, you want to make a statement about what you think it worth spending money on. Food is apparently not it. Ok, but why be such an insulting ass on someone's thread who thinks differently than you?

Just ignore the thread and spare the rest of us your pompous and self righteous opinion. Thanks!
