| Married at age 23 (10 years ago). Neither DH nor I have gained or lost anything. We both fluctuate maybe 5 pounds. We have 2 kids. |
| I have no idea. I've been married 15 years. |

Married at age 28, almost 7 years ago. I am up about 25 lbs. (155 v. 130) but my youngest is 3 mo. and I am just now kicking the diet and exercise into high gear. Hope to be down to 140 by Thanksgiving and 135 by New Years. Anywhere between 135 and 140 is a good weight for me -- I was underweight when we got married (I'm 5'8 with a medium frame). DH has gained probably 5-10 since we got married, but looks great to me -- he was also really slender when we got married.
I know people say that you gain weight after getting married, and there's probably something to it, but for me, it was moving from DC to the suburbs, combined with weaning DC1, that put on 10 lbs. And it has been harder to find time to exercise with kids. |

Got married at 40 and weighed 140 pounds. That was 10 years ago. Went through fertility treatments, 1 pregnancy, and menopause. Now, I'm 50 and weigh 162 pounds. 22 pound weight gain and can't get into my size 8-10 pants.
Grrrr!! Can't get it off!!! Exercise 4 to 5 times weekly and eat healthy. Menopause did me in.. not childbearing or fertility stuff. |
| Yes, I hear that after 40 it's a lot harder to keep it off. I'm 37 now and am working to get my eating habits clean so, when 40 comes, I just have to get the exercise down. |
