what is your son wearing for first day of K

Op here. FWIW, preschooler wore his batman long-sleeve T and jeans for the first day back of preschool---but it is a play-based preschool that is outside in every kind of weather. The boys always came home covered in mud, sand, paint, etc.

I did put K in his brand new Lacoste polo shirt and pants, new backpack. He wanted to wear pants (not shorts) and liked the shirt...no complaints at all. I let him pick the jacket. The pictures are adorable.

I hope everyone has a great day...no matter what they wore!!

I thought we were talking about 1st day of K this whole time!

Anyways, I am the pp who sent Grandma the pics of outfits to choose from. We had a WONDERFUL morning full of specialness....special breakfast, special drop-off (everyone went including little brother), lots of pictures. We wore a cute monogrammed skirt, tee, and little sweater. She looked ADORABLE and was comfortable. I think you should dress somewhat nice for school. I'm a firm believer in dressing for how you would like someone to act. She can get on the floor and read, paint (we sent in smocks!), and do anything that they will be doing in K just fine in her outfit, but she looks put together and neat.

PP, you sound like a Stepford wife/mom....is this post for real? Schools generally supply smocks. Did you monogram the smocks, too?

We took a cue from the Judy Moody books. DD wore a t-shirt she got on our summer vacation to the Rocky Mountains. Conversation-starter!
