| I would go to kid-friendly restaurants with good indoor/outdoor bar areas. |
| Seriously? You have a 6 m/o and you want to go bar crawling? I feel bad for your child, obviously they are not the priority... |
| Why don't you just bring a flask to Chuck E. Cheese? |
What? Doesn't Chuck E Cheese still serve beer??? OP, not sure what to say. If you want to go to a bar or 2 and get a drink with your 6 month old, fine. But a bar crawl? Not fun for a six month old. Or appropriate. |
|
Wow. You ladies are brutal.
OP - what about heading to a National's game? Both Saturday and Sunday this weekend have 1ish start times. We'll see you there with our 6 month old in tow. |
| Or head somewhere like Annapolis or St. Michaels or to a winery near Middleburg or the Plains? A baby in a restaurant is one thing, but a baby in a bar is lame. Remember when you snuck into clubs to go dancing when you were under 21 and you saw the old people (who were probably 30) and you thought they were lame? Well, the same rules apply for parents drinking in bars with babies in tow...lame...sad. |
Then why don't you all stay home?? |
|
Get a babysitter, moron.
WOW... Just wow. |
| Calm down folks - it will be the afternoon. All the drunk patrons will still be hung over from their Friday nights so no worries there. OP is talking about going with her friends to grab a beer and some food. I know it's SO FUN to be outraged but really, this isn't anything to be outraged about. Seriously, I am pretty lame, don't drink and don't go out, but you guys make me feel laid back. How'd you guys manage to get pregnant with giant stick up your ass anyway? Seems like it would be prohibitive to having sex. |

Who takes their kid to a bar?!! You are a selfish person. I say 'person' because you clearly do not deserve to be called a mother.
Are you going to breastfeed while drinking beer too? You have NO class. Disgusting. |
|
Well. it doesn't sound very fun to me. But OP didn't say she'd be getting drunk. Just because she is with them at these establishments and maybe has A drink doesn't mean she'll be drunk.
I wouldn't do it. But if OP is the "designated baby care giver" - and driver - then I think it's OK for her to have her baby present in places where they happen to serve alcohol. OP if you are under the influence while you are responsible for your baby you can get charged with reckless endangerment, so I'd drink soda if I were you. |

I'm the poster who suggested the Reef. I drink wine at home and have gin and tonics. I can't believe this hysteria.
First, OP is right to make this a fun thing and there is no talk suggesting anything irresponsible about her having a nice time with her friend. Second, I feel that this idea that moms should NEVER drink around their children is absurd. Moms should not get drunk around their kids. But, teaching kids that alcohol is an acceptable, normal, and not forbidden part of life is a healthy attitude. Finally, she's meeting a friend. She's having a nice afternoon. It sounds lovely. I toast to you, OP. |
Second! I'm all about getting my drink on, but THAT is what babysitters are for. These two sound like a making of Teen Mom 3, the teen that never grew up. |
You're such a downer! Do you seriously think that children should hinder what parents want to do?! My husband and I think we should be able to do whatever we want! What we want to do comes first, and our kids will need to learn that early! |
No one is against getting drunk, what is moronic and lame is doing a bar crawl with an infant in tow. I don't think even Jenelle could think of an idea more stupid. |
