Not in MENSA because I'm plenty confident about my IQ without having to be in a support group for it.

Also, they take everyone above a 130...that's lots of people (only 2 SDs above the average). So what's the point?

They'll also take anyone who got over like a 1250 on their SATs. I know PLENTY of non-geniuses who fit that bill.

A friend of mine has a high IQ but you wouldn't know when you speak to him. He said he was so much smarter than most kids he spent his entire childhood learning how to dumb it down. So people actually think he's not very smart because he only knows how to dumb it down outwardly.

I took the MENSA test because someone gave me the book for Christmas years ago. I scored high enough for membership but didn't send it in. I didn't really see any benefit to it. It reminded me of those "Who's Who" books that tell you you're awesome so you'll buy a book with your name in it.
