Not the PP, but this is literally the cruelest and nastiest thing I've ever seen on here. Ever. I am going to assume something really horrible happened to you for you to be so cold and inhuman. And for that I am truly sorry for you.

I've many family members to cancer. Two of them I was very close to, one of them was a child.

That being said, I don't think that remark was cruel. What's cruel is killing people with chemo and watching them die slowly while there are other options that are much more gentle and much more effective. What is cruel is keeping people ignorant. What is cruel is profiting off of this. What is cruel is making people who are pro-other methods of treating cancer- villains.

Maybe the delivery of the message seemed cruel, but it's time to get real. I am sick of cancer taking away the people I love. And I am sick of these drug pushing, profit seeking, idiots suppressing the truth.

You all need to wake the F&$% up. Chemo is just as toxic as cancer. And cancer is caused by the pharmaceutical and chemical companies. They know it. They hide it. And if you haven't caught on to that yet, you're next in line for it.

My son (at the age of 6) had a cancerous tumor that, fortunately, could not be helped by chemo. At the time I thought it was the most horrific scenario possible. Now that he's 4 years out, without chemo or radiation, I realize that it was our blessing in disguise NOT to have that kind of poison raging through his body.

That experience has taught me to look for other means of making sure that his cancer would not return. I became my own natural doctor and learned about what it really takes to be healthy. The medical community would have you believe that vaccinations and medications are preventative medicine. But have any of them ever talked to you about Ph balance, healthy gut flora, parasites, yeast/fungus, etc? That would be a big, fat no to most any of you on this board who found my previous comment to be nasty or hurtful.

Anyone who has lost someone to cancer, or even experienced it for themselves should be driven to research the hell out of what it takes to be healthy....not go running to your doctor for a stuffy nose for antibiotics. THAT is not taking your health into your own hands. That is simply giving your power to someone who does not know you and letting them tell you what to put in your body. Something that they themselves have not researched, but instead took the word of a college graduate sales rep from a pharmaceutical company.

I feel sorry for anyone who relies on the sick care system we have in place in the US for their well-being.

If only someone would show that these "gentle" and "more effective" methods work in a clinical trial. Ask yourself why that has never happened. Any researcher could put together a clinical trial.

The blood work came back basically saying I had borderline high cholesterol, which I have had my entire life -- and nothing else. No test for diabetes, cancer, autoimmune diseases, nothing. The doctor said the insurance didn't cover anything else (thanks for letting me know that ahead of time). The doctor also convinced me that I needed a mammogram for lumpy breasts -- which they just are normally -- and I got all in a panic and had the damn thing which was supposed to be covered by my insurance but, surprise, wasn't. My mammogram came back normal and I was $200 poorer for the pleasure of being told what I already knew. All the fancy heart monitoring equipment attached to the treadmill in the doctor's office just sat there collecting dust (also because my insurance didnt' cover it) so all I got was the doc listening to my heart through the stethoscope. It was a complete waste of time, money and anxiety.

So you would have felt like you got your money's worth if what - you had stage 3 breast cancer? Come on. You have to understand the logic in preventative medicine.

No, I didn't want my money's worth. I shouldn't have let the doctor convince me there was something wrong when I knew there wasn't.

This doesn't make sense. You are saying that the preventive medicine is a waste because you turned out to be healthy. Everybody gets something eventually. You don't have a good chance of finding that thing early unless you get checked out. For a lot of diseases, if you wait until your head is falling off, then it's going to fall off.

anyone interested, or financially funded enough, in finding a cure is also interested in making money off of the solution. The only ones rich enough to pull it off is big pharma. Pharmaceutical companies wont cure cancer because:#1. it is waaaaaaay to profitable of a business and #2. they cannot patent a plant.

Please. Enlighten us. What plant cures cancer? And yeah, if the "gentle" and "effective" methods actually worked everyone would know about it by now and that's all anyone would choose to do. The sad thing is those methods are a sham, put together by people who are just as money-grubbing as the pharm companies. But at least the pharm companies deliver. The quacks just make empty promises and keep people from obtaining medically sound treatment. It's heartbreaking.

Because it is more profitable to treat cancer than it is to cure it.

Furthermore, people are not "allowed" to discuss alternative methods unless you want the FDA and FTC on your ass, and to be labeled as something negative. The only thing that anyone "allowed" to say is that chemotherapy is the only proven method of treating cancer...which is a lie.

Want more insight? Look into the case of Daniel Chapter 1...which is really a witch hunt that has gone over the top.

Besides, many studies are rigged anyway. They are written to say whatever "someone" wants them to say. I know from personal experience. So I really don't give two hoots about what clinical trials say, I care about what PEOPLE say about their experiences. I don't care if that's not good enough for you "researchers" and you "high priests of medicine". You are the same people who said x-rays were safe for pregnant women, washing your hands isn't necessary after seeing patients, and a host of others things.
