I’d wait and see if there are issues with renters first, before I plan a parting gift to someone renting their house. Neighbors could be in for trouble.

Omg no. I received a DC-shaped cheeseboard once, it’s basically unusable lol. The dish towel I got w the DC stars and stripes was cute though.

FWIW, when we moved out of the country, I appreciated some DC-themed items that were given to us as going-away gifts! Thought it was super thoughtful, and we also displayed them in our new home.

OP - think it's very nice that you're thinking of this sort of gift, and I like the mug idea.

THIS. The only moving gifts I give are Home Depot or Lowes gift certificates as they will need to do stuff to their new home for sure.
