Let's believe FCPS conducted background check for new hires. Does FCPS provide continuous ethics training also. Many companies mandate employee to complete annul sexual harassment training. Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) also requires all registered adult volunteers to complete Safeguarding Youth Training (formerly Youth Protection Training). This training must be renewed annually and is a mandatory prerequisite. Is there anything FCPS can do better to prevent such crime from happening?

Langley graduate stabbed and killed another Langley graduate.

Langley graduate shot and killed by Park Police with drugs in his system after refusing to pull over on GW Parkway.

German teacher at Langley lost license after taking kids to Europe and engaging in drinking and sexual conduct with them.

Langley football coach arrested for soliciting a minor.

Langley teaching aide arrested for pleasuring himself in school classroom.

Former Langley principal fired from their next position for not responding appropriately to reports of staff misconduct.

Langley math teacher arrested for inappropriate interaction with a student.

You could go high school by high school and come up with list after list.

The problem is predators and criminals, not just one high school

You could but the lists would not be as long.

In fairness, the Safeguarding Youth Training is more to help adults not put themselves in positions where kids could be harmed and recognize situations where other adults, or kids, could hurt someone. I doubt it will stop a molester from wanting to molest a kid. The hope is that the safeguards of multiple adults at all times and in all communication will decrease the opportunity for someone to be molested or assaulted.

Teachers are not required to have 2 adults in the space when with students.
