D9= The "Divine Nine" (D9) the nine historically African American fraternities and sororities that comprise the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), founded between 1906 and 1963 to foster brotherhood, sisterhood, and community service

Kid was accepted ED. Bought (1) t-shirt to celebrate. This horrible and wasteful bed party trend is spread on social media and kids think it's expected/mandatory. My dd asked me about it, and I said no way!

WTF?? "Chop off his testicles"??? This is a million times more disturbing than any of these bed parties.

Anonymous wrote:Nope! I put these in the same category as the elaborate over-the-top gender reveal parties. Creepy, weird, unnecessary, wasteful, and obnoxious. Glad my kid made no mention of it—doesn’t seem to be as much of a thing in our area or in her circles.

This. Very low class.

D9 culture is so interesting! It holds a pretty important place in American culture and history.

I knew zero about it before my DC became involved, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to learn.

We did brisk business making Homecoming Mums for the uncrafty or procrastinators, and this looks just like that, only for non-Texans.

A "homecoming Mum?"

Yeah, wtf is that? I know I can google, but I like the person I am without knowing what this is.

Oh, it's so much worse that I imagined. My eyes

I can't figure out what I'm looking at. Please explain this to me.

I'm already paying for their tuition. Ran out of money for the "bed party".

Teaching our kids that overindulgence and narcissism are the way to go!

You have deprived your child of a magnificent moment in their young adulthood. I hope you can live with yourself tonight!

Lol, even the GMU girl is looking like "this is too much fuss for Mason".

I only know one girl locally who did this. Her mom is pushing the sorority thing HARD.
