UMD has no waitlist, but if their yield is low will they take denied students?

This is true of most public universities as the yield rate is so much lower.


Fall 2025 out of state acceptance rate 47%, yield was 11%

North Carolina schools are required to take a larger percentage from in state. I think it was something like 80%.


UMD does as well - 70% in-state (although that is across all institutions)
