NYTs: Older Women Are in Demand by Younger Men

Exactly. I'm a happily married, full time employed, 44 yo woman with two kids in Old Town and I know of precisely zero women in such a relationship. Literally none.

It's just a 2026 Cinderella piece. Which is horribly sad if you call yourself a feminist. We are supposed to feel good because younger men want to use us as a piece of ass? Uhhh, that's not what I'm telling my daughter to aspire to.

When I was on dating apps n my late 40s, there were tons of much-younger men interested in me. I am beautiful, accomplished, thin, nice, and funny. However, that was not the reason they were interested. Younger men pursue much older women due to the mens' PERCEPTION that these women are horny, easy, desperate, and no-strings. Occasionally they also want to use the women to become more sexually experienced. The men pretend they find you fascinating etc. I scolded and then blocked them all.

If I were single, I would probably go younger. I feel younger men are more open-minded overall and I am more attracted to them.

Nobody thinks you’re in your 20s. Please stop. This is embossing.

Embarrassing (not embossing)

Attractive women their own age have too many options and only deal with men that will court them and spend $$$ and time. The younger men just want a hole and any hole will do.

That's common for high quality women looking for successful men

"High quality" women don't need to marry men 15-25 years older than them. That's for gold diggers or daddy issues.

Old men with money think their 20 yr old girlfriend liked them for their looks or personality. It's not surprising older women have similar delusions.

As we can see on this board women don’t have these delusions. They usually don’t date younger men for these specific reasons

Do the people in your life know the depth of your misogyny?

Recycling "cougars." That was supposedly a thing 15-20 years ago.

Baby faced 44 yr old here. Have an abundance of 20 to early 30 guys in line for dates. If they are pervy I block. I want a relationship not casual. No kids here never married. Has never been a red flag for any of them. Seeing a 37 yr old but I'm iffy about him.

Correct. Men, especially average young men, have few options and low standards. If women knew how young men joke about their sex-capades with cougars, they'd be horrified. The young men will move onto real relationships in the future. The women will eventually fall below the standards of even these guys. The cycle will continue.

The funny thing is the women who are "in demand" here don't realize where they rank because all the good women have long since been married and are out of the market.
